Hey, I’m Allen — the person behind We Do Review. I’m based in Aurora, Colorado, and I built this site because I was tired of the same problem every online shopper runs into: too many reviews, not enough honesty.
Why I Started This Site
If you’ve ever tried to buy something on Amazon, you know the drill. You search for a product and get hit with hundreds of listings and reviews ranging from suspiciously glowing to obviously fake. Sorting through that noise to find out whether a product is actually good takes forever, and most people don’t have the time.
That’s the gap We Do Review fills. I dig through the noise so you don’t have to, and I boil each product down to what matters: does it work, is it worth the money, and who is it actually good for. No filler, no hype, just a straight answer.
How I Research and Review Products
I’m not a lab with a warehouse full of gadgets, and I think it’s important to be upfront about that. Here’s my actual process for every review or comparison I publish:
- Verified buyer feedback synthesis — I read through verified Amazon buyer reviews, looking for recurring complaints, common praise, and details that only show up after real use.
- Spec and listing analysis — I compare specifications, materials, warranty terms, and pricing across similar products.
- Hands-on testing where possible — For products I can personally get my hands on, I test them directly instead of relying only on secondhand information.
- Clear pros, cons, and verdicts — Every review ends with a plain-language breakdown of what’s good, what’s not, and who I’d recommend it to, because the “best” product is different for everyone.
I update older reviews when products change or when new information changes my take. A review that’s accurate today but ignored for two years isn’t useful to anyone.
What Makes We Do Review Different
There’s no shortage of “review” sites built to funnel you toward whatever pays the highest commission. That’s not how I run things here:
- No hype. If a popular product is mediocre, I’ll say so. If an underrated one is genuinely great, I’ll say that too.
